Back End Developer with Python Experience
About the Role
We are seeking a Backend Developer with Python expertise and experience building modern, performant applications for both web and desktop environments. In this role, you will work within cross-functional delivery teams to design and implement scalable architectures that support complex, real-world workflows for enterprise clients. This is initially a 3-Month Contract, with potential for an extension. This will be a work from home role, however, currently we're only seeking candidates in Tenerife, Spain.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, develop, and maintain Python applications.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Communicate technical trade-offs, architecture decisions, and implementation details clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders for specific external client products.
What You Bring
- Strong Python experience developing new code and maintaining existing code
- Flask, FastAPI and PyTest
- API and BFF design,
- SQL and query optimization experience
- AWS Lambda and Serverless Framework
- OAuth2 / OIDC
- Ability to work effectively in client-facing, cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving requirements.
Nice to Have
- OfficeJS awareness, Office 365 API experience
- Familiarity with financial services platforms, fintech workflows, or regulated enterprise environments.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices
