Innovation in Airline Operations
Aviation
THE PROBLEM
A major airline needed to improve how they respond to complex operations scenarios to improve customer service and meet new FAA regulatory standards.
PROJECT COMPLEXITIES
  • The product is intended to create and support a market that does not yet exist.
  • Traders need an intuitive UX, but also an app that updates interactively and in real time.
  • Traders do not conform to “standard” user behaviors when interfacing with technology; they are looking at multiple windows on multiple stacked screens, and they can consume lines and lines of data with amazing speed.
“A snowstorm hits at JFK. Expert users have minutes to reroute thousands of flights, crew and customers in the most optimal way ...GO!”
OUR SOLUTION
A web-based UX proof of concept (and later GA) that provides users with highly interactive and exploratory workflows for visualizing and comparing outcome scenarios with the ability to quickly put a scenario into practice when an event occurs.
