Training > Interaction
Design Methods

Audience: UI Designers, Web Designers, Interaction
Designers, Information Architects, Usability Engineers,
Developers, Product Managers, and anyone tasked
with
designing, implementing or evaluating task flow and behavior of a user interface.
This course is particularly relevant to organizations with few or no Interaction
Designers.
Description: Interaction Design determines
the structure and hierarchy of a product or website.
It communicates and supports the flow of steps users
take to complete tasks, and it provides the framework
for how the system behaves based on different actions
users might take. Without good interaction design,
a product is doomed to a life of poor usability. This
course will provide you with effective techniques for
creating interaction designs. You’ll learn many
methods for catching UI mistakes early, before you’ve
spent significant time coding, and you’ll get
a chance to practice creating low-fidelity prototypes
with others in an interactive team exercise.
Length: 4 - 8 hours (customizable)
Course highlights:
- interaction design techniques
- creating low-fidelity prototypes
- horizontal vs. vertical prototypes
- flow diagrams, use cases and task analysis
- wireframing
- when and how to use different kinds of prototypes
- examples and exercises.
